Webmaster tools gives missing XML tag error

    Try unchecking Enable Sitemap Indexes.

    Enable Site Map Indexes is unchecked have searched other threads and tried that.

    I see your site redirects to HTTPS, have you set the Protocol for Canonical URLs under All in One SEO, General Settings to HTTPS?

    You have also changed the default name of the sitemap to sitemap_index.xml when it should be sitemap.xml
