• Two questions regarding webm player in WordPress (they are both related):

    1. I uploaded some webm-files in a post, and I set autoplay=”on” on the first one. Checked the preview and it worked, the webm played automatically. However, after doing this to all ten webm-files in the post, they do not autoplay anymore. Why could this be?

    2. Is there anyway to disable the media controls (play button, progress bar etc.)? tried controls=”off” but no success.

    Any ideas?

    1. You can’t have more than one thing on the page autoplaying. That wouldn’t make a whole lot of sense.

    2. No, there is no way in the shortcode to disable the controls. People need to be able to start and stop the videos on your page.

Too bad, thanks for your reply.

I use webm-files for an entertainment website, filling the roles that gifs used to have on the web. So my webm’s are short clips with no sound, which is why I would like them to autoplay.
