weblink not showing

  • Dear all,

    I’m new to www.remarpro.com.

    I was playing around to see if I could change my settings at the WPadmin (I’ve learnt my lesson… help me out please…)

    So the given page is [ redundant link removed ]
    But most of my other social media links can only register ‘moda-gaslady’ – those phrases but different in punctuation.

    I changed the weblink thing in the WPAdmin Settings page to a new one, the one I have NOT been allocated…

    Now my website comes out all weird in html form but not graphics…
    And I can’t even login to the WPAdmin page to change it back…

    Anyone can help PLEASE!!!! ??

  • Hi Wongjanman,

    Just to correctly understand your problem: The previous url of your website was the old one and you’ve changed it, right?

    If so, you have to update the whole urls of you’re database, because chnaging the main url of your website have broken the links like styles.css for example.

    To do so, you can use the Search and Replace DB file from Interconnectit. Then :
    1- Make a backup of your files and database
    2- Upload the Search and Replace DB folder to the root of your installation
    3- Browse to the script folder URL in your web browser
    4- Fill up the fields with old and new urls
    5- Dry run to test how many url will be replaced
    6- Proceed to urls update
    7- Remove Search and Replace DB folder from your installation
    8- You will able to access your WP administration
    9- Update your permalinks

    You’re good to go again
