As the title implies, we have issues with the resubscription of webhooks. A payment from a client has failed and we decided to start debugging by resubscribing all webhooks, which did not succeed. The debug ID is gibberish and contains no useful information, only these “xxxxxx” characters everywhere.

The subscription dies during the create function inside /modules/ppcp-api-client/src/Endpoint/WebhookEndpoint.php

WooCommerce logs show all requests being resolved with 200 OK code but the resubscription itself still fails.

Reconnecting the account did not solve the issue.

    Hello there,

We also have the same problem started happening. Customers can’t pay for orders now on the website. Webhooks keep disconnecting every few secondes.

    Please advise

    Hello @srggroup and @gentlemako

In order to find out what is happening to your website, we need to have more details, since this is not a general issue and does not occur to all users of our plugin.

We would like to review your logs and the system report to identify if your situation might be related to an already known issue. You can copy the log files from here:

    • WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support
    • WooCommerce > Status > Logs > select “woocommerce-paypal-payments…” in the dropdown and click on view.

If you don’t feel comfortable sharing those details on a public forum, please open a ticket with our service desk. You can find the instruction for this here: https://paypal.inpsyde.com/docs/request-support/
(please add the URL of this thread in the ticket as well)

If you want to test this issue by yourself, I would suggest creating a staging site and perform conflict testing to find out what is causing the webhook disconnect.

You may want to perform a full conflict test to rule out eventual issues with the theme or a different plugin. We recommend temporarily activating the default theme Storefront and disabling all other plugins except for WooCommerce and PayPal Payments to see if the behavior persists.

Here’s a guide that explains the steps in more detail: How to test for conflicts. Please let us know if this works out for you.

    Kind regards,
    Joost
