Please provide links to all the forms so I can see what’s happening.

    Odd.

The only difference I see is that the first is a subpage and the others are root pages. I suspect that may be related to the issue somehow — possible the #salesforce_w2l_lead_4 is throwing off your theme somehow? Hard to say without digging deeper than I can without a login/ftp.

Anyways, it’s most likely a theme or plugin conflict/issue — not an issue with the Salesforce plugin — the 404 is happening long before the plugin is even invoked.

So all I can really do is:

    Offer premium support (consulting):
    https://thoughtrefinery.com/plugins/support/?plugin=salesforce-wordpress-to-lead

    Suggest the standard troubleshooting procedure:

    1. Check for theme conflicts:
Switch to a bundled theme (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014). Did that solve the problem?
If so, your theme is breaking the plugin. Talk to the theme vendor or request premium support to have me troubleshoot the issue with your theme.

    2. Check for plugin conflicts:
Deactivate all other plugins: Did that solve the problem?

If not, it’s an issue with your hosting:
Talk to your host or request premium support to have me troubleshoot the issue with your server.

If it did, it’s a plugin conflict:
Reactivate plugins one at a time until the problem returns. The last plugin activated is the culprit. Report back with that plugin name/link and I can troubleshoot the issue to determine if there’s a fix.

I switched to the generic WP theme, I disabled every theme and I even made those page subpages to see if that would make a difference. In each case, the error still persists.

What issue could it be with the host? PHP version?

Honestly, this is one of those “so weird it should not be happening” type of bugs… so I can’t even begin guess what the problem could be.

All I can say is that a form post… to the same URL should never end up in a 404, especially when it works on another page, so the problem is much higher up than the SalesForce plugin (or the issue would be consistent).

Without access to error logs, filesystem, etc. I simply cannot say any more.

So the best option would be? Premium support?

You can see if your host can/will help, but yes, this is probably a “hire a developer” type of issue as it requires tracing the error through the code.

Whether that’s me or someone else, you’re unlikely to find someone who will troubleshoot this for free ??

Ok Nick, I filled out your form, let me know when you find something out.

For anyone who finds this thread: there was a field called name that is a reserved parameter in WordPress (and not a valid field name for use with SalesForce).

    More info:
    https://www.webdevdoor.com/wordpress/submitting-form-wordpress-redirects-404-page/

SuppliedName is probably what you want to use for a “Name” field for a Case.
