Web Story Producing HTML AMP error

    I started receiving a new AMP error on my latest web stories “A mandatory attribute is missing from an HTML tag.” It seems that the JPGs are showing broken images in the preview section in the web story plugin, and it’s just black on the left-hand side showing my media previews. When I preview my webstory, it works fine. I deleted all my MP4s and JPGs in my WP media and reuploaded them. It appears WP is creating multiple “poster.jpg” files. Not sure if this is an issue or if it’s correlated?

    Currently, I’m not seeing the validation error on the story. When I run the story the AMP Test tool to get live results, it passes without issue.

    Are you still getting the validation error? If so, could you tell me where from?

    Could you share any browser console errors where you see the broken images? Are these images you’ve uploaded to the media library?

    It appears WP is creating multiple “poster.jpg” files. Not sure if this is an issue or if it’s correlated?

    I’m wondering if you are experiencing this known issue with duplicate poster image generation upon re-uploading a video. We’ll have a fix for this in our next version 1.2.2.

    I am waiting for my AMP error to validate in Search Console.

    @asager5 There has been a new version of the Web Stories for WordPress plugin released which includes improvements to the poster image generation. Could you please update the plugin? Please open a new support topic if any you encounter any further issues.
