Web Stories Error When I Come From Google Search and Discover

Hello @rodrigoflausino thanks for getting in touch. To help investigate this further for you please could you provide the following information:

1. Your Site Health information which you can share privately via this form.
2. If you update to version 1.16 and then try browsing using an Incognito window do you get the same problem?
3. Do you see any browser console errors when you get the blank story pages?
4. Is the story using one of the built in Web Stories templates or have you created this from scratch?

If possible it would also be very useful to get a screenshot of this or even a screen recording. You can use Imgur to store and share screenshots or Loom to provide screen recordings.

I don’t see any browser console errors because its smartphone.

I used the form and send site health information.

1. Is this only happening when using your phone with a Chrome browser or the Google search app or does this also happen for you on desktop or other device?
2. Have you tried temporarily disabling your WP Rocket plugin to see if this makes any difference to the story view on your device?

I can try to deactivate WP-Rocket and update plugin.

And its happened using my phone in internal search app in Android.

I tried to deactivate and not working in 1.16. Its impossible to see console errors in browser because only see 3 options. Im using the search app in Android.

The Error its in AMP servers?

In version 1.15.1 i don’t have problems.

@rodrigoflausino Does this affect all of your Web Stories when you update to 1.16 or does it only affect the single story you have added to the form you completed?

All web stories.

@rodrigoflausino would you be able to update back to 1.16, go in to edit one of your stories, update, save and republish the story.

Once you have done this please check once more to see if that fixes the issues you have been seeing.

I tried do republish and not working in 1.16. I tried to deactivate entire AMP plugin and jetpack CDN and not working.

With another test, i can get the console errors!

Refused to load the stylesheet 'https://cdn.ampproject.org/v0/amp-story-1.0.css' because it violates the following Content Security Policy directive: "style-src 'unsafe-inline' https://cdn.ampproject.org/rtv/ https://cdn.materialdesignicons.com https://cloud.typography.com https://fast.fonts.net https://fonts.googleapis.com https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com https://p.typekit.net https://pro.fontawesome.com https://use.fontawesome.com https://use.typekit.net". Note that 'style-src-elem' was not explicitly set, so 'style-src' is used as a fallback.

@rodrigoflausino thank you for providing this snippet that’s very useful. This indicates that https://cdn.ampproject.org/v0/amp-story-1.0.css which was added as part of the 1.16 release is being blocked by your CSP (Content Security Policy).

To fix this you will need to update your CSP to allow https://cdn.ampproject.org/v0/amp-story-1.0.css.

If you are unsure on how to do this then you should be able to reach out to your hosting provider who will be able to assist you with this.

Once done please check your Web Stories again while on Web Stories 1.16 and let me know if this fixes your issue.

@rodrigoflausino just an update that there has been a fix made which should mean that your issue should be resolved without the need to update your CSP. If however it is still not working for you then please continue to update the CSP.
