Web-stories editor is crashing repeatedly on right clicking on element

  • Dear Team,
    Noticing, anomalies on the Web-story editor. Please help fix.

    Issue 1:
    Firstly, two of our draft project’s content (especially text and all animations) got disappeared yesterday, even though those were saved all across. Only, it retained the background images.

    Issue 2:
    Secondly, getting the below error continuously and can’t really work on the web-story editor as it is crashing all the time; especially when we do right click on any element (as we are trying to use the commands which come on right-click, like group, layer-positioning etc.)

    1. Could you provide your Site Health information? You can share privately if you prefer.
    2. Could you please share a screen recording of your experience using a service such as Loom or Recordit then share the URL here?

    @luckynasan : Thanks for the response.
    We moved on further, as not sure if the particular template (we took from the library) had any issue or somewhere else. (this is for the issue 2).

    And for the issue 1, yes that was even experience by another member from our team who also had lost his project mid-way as all text, animation, content disappeared suddenly, like me.

    We shall post you back if we are experiencing this again, with the details you requested.

    @vsplven Thank you for the details. Do you happen to recall the specific template you used? I could attempt to reproduce the issue with that template.

    When you do experience content being lost, it will be good to rule out any other plugins as a conflict as we have seen that to be an issue in the past. Try disabling all other plugins to see if the issue persists when Web Stories is the only plugin enabled on your site.

    If you’d like you could provide your Site Health information privately here and we can check for any obvious issues.
