    Hello friends.

I’m a developer on a project where my team has high hopes for Web Stories. The team is concerned about the end of support for data collection on GA 3, this July 2023, so I’m here to learn about the transition for GA4.

Do you have on your road map something planned about this issue? Is there a plan and/or deadline to migrate to GA4?

If GA 4 don’t officially support Web Stories by July 2023, do you intend to use alternative methods to log views and other events? Perhaps using David Vallejo‘s script to send pageviews to GA4?

We have been using this script to register AMP pageviews for product pages on our GA4 data streams successfully. Do you think it would be possible to track Web Stories inserting this custom script right now and/or after GA3 end of support?

    Thank you in advance.

Thanks for reaching out about this. You are right, Google Analytics 4 does not currently support AMP / Web Stories. We don’t have any more information about this right now but will share any updates through the channels available to us once we learn more.

Thanks a lot for the swiftly response, Pascal. I do understand your position.

I will communicate these findings to my team and keep an eye here and on AMP repos.

Hello @cftvppereira ! Web Stories for WordPress version 1.33.0 has been released so please update the plugin accordingly. You will now be able to use GA4 by entering your GA4 measurement ID (e.g., G-12345) in the Web Stories Settings > Analytics section.

From now on, all analytics data will be sent to your new GA4 property. Please note that it might take a while for the data to trickle in in your analytics dashboard.

If you experience any issues with the Web Stories plugin pleases create a ?new support topic. If you need any help migrating from Universal Analytics to Google Analytics 4, please consult the Analytics help center.
