Web Stories amp error

@vinayakgurav Hiya, sorry to hear your stories are experiencing validation errors.

I see your site uses the Swift Performance Caching plugin, which appears to interfere with stories required markup, causing these AMP validation issues.

As a temporary workaround, you can exclude the Web Stories URL from caching and optimization by navigating to Swift Performance settings > Caching > Exceptions > Exclude URLs: web-stories/(*)

I recommend opening a support topic on their forum to report this incompatibility as well.

@luckynasan I have done the necessary settings as you said, but I’m still facing the same errors.

Should I deactivate the Swift Performance plugin? I don’t have any problem in doing so.

@vinayakgurav I was able to clear the errors on my test story after configuring these settings.

To confirm, have you cleared all cache? When you updated the settings, did you get prompted to also reset warmup settings?

@luckynasan Yes, I did get a prompt to reset warmup settings. And I was dismissing it. Now that I have reset the warmup table, I am able to view my web stories on my mobile device.

But some web stories are still showing the same errors on search console.

So how can I check whether my web stories are working fine or not?

@vinayakgurav You can test your Story URLs at https://search.google.com/test/amp to check for validation errors. You’ll see stories with the Swift plugin enabled results in the errors and then see the errors subside after disabling that plugin or excluding the URL. Does this help?

@luckynasan so should I disable the Swift plugin permanently?

@vinayakgurav In this case disabling the plugin stopped the AMP validation errors. In this case, keeping the plugin disabled allows you to have valid Web Stories, but if you want to use both plugins I suggest you also reach out to the Swift Performance team to report this incompatibility.
