Web site location?

    I am using xampp as a local host to run wordpress to design my website before I go live. I installed it on my desk top (it was an all in on operation on a windows 7 machine) the website is located in c:\Server\my website name\. This all works fine.

    However I need to work on it on my lap top so I simply want to copy the ‘my website name’ folder to the same location on my laptop and carry on, seams logical to me.

    But for what ever reason the same all in one installation will not work on my xp laptop. So I have installed xampp on my laptop and it is running fine, the website is in the c:\Server\my website name\ but I can not get it to work, xampp keeps looking at thec:\xampp\ directory for the local host.

    How do I change this so I can work on the current website and then simply copy that folder back to my PC when I get home?
