• When I type in https://mydomain.com/wp-admin I get a message that says my website isn’t found or that the server isn’t found. Even when I go into my email that I got from the MOJO Marketplace that says my Word Press install is complete and I hit the link I still get the same message.

  • did you add any plugins? You need to deactivate all plugins via your https://ftp.your domain.com sign in with your host site account

one of your plugins is causing the problem. You can deactivate all of them and then activate one at a time using your admin panel.

    Deactivate All Plugins Using FTP

In this method, you will need to either use FTP, or your host’s file manager. Navigate to the /wp-content/ folder. You will see a folder called plugins. Rename the plugins folder to anything that you like. In our example, we will call it “plugins.deactivate”. Once you do this, all of your plugins will be deactivated.

Most of the time when you do this, you are usually locked out of your admin panel. If the issue was with your plugins, you should be able login to your /wp-admin/. Once you do that, go back to your /wp-content/ directory and rename “plugins.deactivate” back to plugins. Now you can activate one plugin at a time until your site breaks again. At which point, you will know exactly which plugin caused the issue.

I’m having a similar problem. I had an operating website on Joomla platform on Bluehost. I wanted to migrate it to WordPress. I uploaded WordPress and then installed the FG Joomla to WordPress plugin. I was attempting to migrate and couldn’t complete the process. When I came back to it, I couldn’t access the WordPress dashboard to go into the plugin and complete the process. When I try to go in via WordPress admin it wants to take me through the WordPress installation process. However, under my installs it is already showing WordPress. I’m hesitant to move any further without some advice. Can some help.

Lynnpal did you try to go into the ftp site and disable the plugins to see if you can get back into wordpress? I have never seen it show wordpress not installed but maybe it will help. It sounds like the plugin you install corrupted something.

Yes, I think it was due to the plugin. I did go into ftp and deactivate as per the instructions above but I get the same message. I try to login and it wants to take me thru the install process. Should I remove the first install and try again. What will happen to my files if I do this?

The install process is triggered if the wp-config.php file is missing. It’s requesting the info needed for your wp-config.php file.
