  • Hi there, you will have to be a bit more descriptive to get some useful help here. A link to your website and the name of the plugin you installed would be essential. I’m sure the community will help you out.

the web site is https://www.healthinsurance2me.org the plugin was Google Analytics for WordPress sorry all new to this web site stuff

I’m getting a Server not found page. Perhaps it’s the wrong link? That plugin is extremely well supported so I’m sure there’s an easy answer to your situation. ??

What extra writing do you see on the home page?

By the way, your footer is broken.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function static_footer_pages() in /home/healthin/public_html/wp-content/themes/MyRecipe/footer.php on line 15

how do i fix the problem

    Hi healthin,
it looks like a plugin(called “My Recipe”) is triggering the error you see on your footer – try disabling that plugin & see if the problem goes away, and if so then you should write to that developer & tell him / her about the error message (and maybe he/she might update the plugin if/when they get time, or maybe they could provide you with a quick fix in the meantime etc). Otherwise, if the plugin is really crucial to your site then maybe you could hire a programmer to fix it (it might not cost that much, it’s probably just something like the dev. has used depreciated code or some other small error etc, so it might be easy to fix…but I’m not a coder so I wouldn’t really know).

Another thing you can try is to install that “My Recipe” plugin in a vanilla installation of WordPress (vanilla just means with nothing added to it, so just the plain core WP installation, and the default WP theme…) & then see if the plugin is still putting out the error.. if not, then the plugin might be conflicting with a plugin or theme etc in your site.
    Hope this helps

    Regards, Karen

@karban & healthin: The “My Recipe” is actually a theme. It’s located in the wp-content/themes folder.

Thanks for the info, i went into where the plugins are and could’t see any plugin with the name “My Recipe”, had alook at all plugin’s and there is nothing there…went into wp-content/themes folder and i couldn’t see anything….
To change the subject i put another page on the sitte and when i put another link there i noticed that all the original adverising is all to one side, how do i make it the same as the other page. This is all new to me so im probably going to annoy the hell out of you with questions….the new page has the heading “useful-sites” as in trying to put other sites there to get links to the site…

The theme itself might have a different name but if you access the themes folder via ftp there will be a folder by that name in there. I’m not entirely sure what you’re saying about the new page. A URL of the page and the URL of the page that it’s supposed to look like would be helpful.
