web p question

When using the plugin on my staging website, the plugin told me to activate web p redirection. I turned this feature on from my Cloudways (host) dashboard but all the images dissapeared. Am i doing something wrong? How can I serve web p (next gen) images using your plugin? Do I have edit the ht access?
