Web Link to Open Mobile Device Map for Directions

  • Is there anyone who has found the need for the Event Manager (“EM”) to be mobile friendly? I just completed a project where the client loved EM, but the pages’ formatting required extra coding to be mobile friendly (EM’s use of tables and not (div)s.

    Additionally, the Google Map required an additional plugin (“Flexible Map”) and addition coding to offer directions.

    Personally, I think EM to be extremely powerful yet slightly lacking in mobile friendliness.

    With that said… Does anyone know how to setup the EM address and/or Google Map such that when a user accesses an EM event via mobile, EM provides a link which opens the device’s map app for GPS directions?
