web disk ports

  • Hi, I am trying to open ports 2078 and 2077 using vista home premium. I opened the ports in windows firewall and downloaded the patch also opened Norton ports, but I still can not open my web disk. It says that Internet explorer can not find the ports and would I like to view the default. So, I say yes and it still will not open so that I can run it. Can someone please offer some advise. My web host is not helping with this they just keep sending me the same instructions and I keep getting the same error. Please help.

  • This is not a WordPress issue. If the cPanel tutorial doesn’t help, and your host won’t help, you aren’t getting your moneys worth from your host.

    One trouble-shooting tip I can offer is to temporarily disable your local firewall and your antivirus, and see if you have connectivity. If no, you have a setup issue, if yes, enable the firewall and test again. Then the antivirus and test again. If you are using a Norton product that includes and ADDITIONAL firewall service, be mindful of the conflicting issues created by that situation, as well.
