• Hi,

    2 problems:

    1. New installation. I don’t see the Web API checkmark (that is shown in the instructions) on the Send With tab, when Third Party is selected. Changed browsers and still can’t see it. Even used the Reinstall Button to clear everything and start over but can’t see that choice.

    2. Cannot generate a test mail. I’m getting this error:

SMTP Error: Could not authenticate. | SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host.

It doesn’t explain whether it’s the sendgrid.com SMTP or the hosting service SMTP… (yes, I know I selected Send With… Third Party.

I would very much like to avoid SMTP if I can. I think sendgrid.com offers the Web API, no?

    Thank you for your help!

  • Hi,

    1. Are you using SendGrid? We only support the Web API option for SendGrid, not other third-party senders.

    2. This error means that your host is blocking your outgoing SMTP ports. If you switch to SendGrid, you can avoid SMTP and you won’t have this issue.

    Thanks!

    Thanks you for replying.

    On 1:

Yes, I am all set up to use SendGrid, and have entered — smtp.sendgrid.com, my login and pw — but I cannot continue without the Web API check box visible. OR, am I missing something here?

On 2: Right. I assumed that was the reason. All the more, I need to be able to use the Web API

Please explain how I can make the Web API box visible and usable.

    Many Thanks!
