• Hi,
I haven’t noticed before but recently when I create a new post and before I publish it, the post url is shown as https://www.sitename/web10/postname

The web10 element gof the url goes away once I publish the post but stays there whilst it is in creation or draft modes.

Can anyone advise what the ‘web10’ is please, is it a temporary location being used by WordPress?

    Thanks,
    Mickey

  • No. It’s probably the folder on your site that installed WordPress into.

Thanks for thinking about it. I don’t have a web10 folder listed despite showing ‘invisible files’. I’ve just found a url link to an actual page still sitting within this folder that I can’t see. I’ll contact my web-host about it.

    Regards,
    Mickey
