Weaver 11 pro overhyped. Can I get my money back

    Due to a overflow problem on WordPress?? or my hosting site (inmotion) I lost 26 pages of work. Before going into that, I must say that other themes such as Paraboloa allowed me to view and text edit the entire page, not just the small snippet below the header etc. Links above could not be edited or aligned to me needs. I just tried to update three widgets needing that, and the fatal overflow issue came up again.

    Needless to say I am not thrilled and probably feel safer starting from scratch, rather than the squashed Weaver 11 page allowed me. In fact the inmotion, home website looks a lot better than the Weaver one. I have not heard back about the backup issue to see if anything can be recovered. In the meanwhile I will try Parabola again, Virtue and Voyage. No response to my question to WordPress. … and seriously can I get my money back? I suppose I can go to my credit card and ask for a refund there.

    That said, I would strongly advise everyone to back up their sites to their own computer and make backup files that are dated. My backup over-rode an earlier and all I can do is view the damaged restore.

    So ticked off!

  • Sorry you are having issues, but www.remarpro.com has nothing to do with commercial products – you need to contact the developer of the theme.

    And yes, doing your own backups are always recommended.

    Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 72169 bytes) in /home/sweetg16/public_html/wp-admin/includes/admin.php on line 50

    I went to that file and checked those lines (could edit) but I found nothing that I saw that indicated a problem and I would be wary about editing anything there. This is getting worse by the hour. Can’t even load another template into my WordPress account as I am locked out.

    This is becoming a major disillusionment with WordPress in general, not just the theme I used. Now I cannot even upload some alternative themes OR more importantly get to the site I had, to post the needed links to my hosting site for possible recovery. The longer this lasts, the less likely they will keep the previous badkup before the messed up one. I need to post ALL the links I wish to be recovered and cannot even get to my site to do so.

    It’s forum policy – full stop. If you want to ask any question related to a commercial product, contact the vendor/developer concerned. We do not support commercial products as you paid for support when you bought the theme. It is not our place to keep theme vendors in business or deprive them of any income that they may derive from support services.

    In the meantime, try switching to the default 2013 theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    I have to add that I fixed it by changing the memory allotment default and upping it. My website came back anew and I could log in again.

    https://www.sweetgeodes.com has a long way to go and the Weaver theme really is difficult to edit, text whatever. Might go to another theme even after paying for this one.
