    do you have the permissions on the “weather_cache” folder set to 755?

    Jeremiah:
    Yes I do have my weather cache folder permissions set to 755. Still no go though :/

    hmm.
    just for kicks, try setting them to 777
    or create a weather_cache folder in some other location.
    (I’d probably put it in the root folder for testing)
    and point the plugin at the new weather_cache folder.
    –Jeremiah

    Did you create the weather_cache directory and changed the file attributes?

    Its got to be a 4 letter code not a number?
    Yes! A 4 letter code – not a number!

    and
    bugger to the second!!
    Nearest one then is Richmond which is a very different temperature/climate to where i live…also about an hour and a bit away!!……oh well, Im sure it would have worked…
    thanks stollen for the feedback.

    i’ve set full permissions to the cache folder, but i still get this error. i’ve even created a blank .txt file in the cache folder for it to write to and set full permissions on that. is it my host?

    Having a problem with this one…had it working on my 1.2 version, but 1.2 died, and upped the version to 1.3a4…
    Here’s my error…
    Fatal error: Call to undefined function: weathericon() in /home2/surviva/public_html/wordpress/wp-sidebar.php on line 20
    and here is what is in wp-sidebar.php….
    <li id="weather">
    <?php WeatherIcon('KRIW','Riverton,Wyoming') ?>

    Did find one extra space at the end of weather.php, but can’t seem to find anything else…
    Any suggestions?

    Are you sure that the plugin is activated?
    do you have the latest version?
    Not sure what else it might be.

    Jerimiah,
    Downloaded the latest version, reupped the files and icons, have the folders set to 777 ( or should it be something else?), and have played with it for the past two hours…same error.
    Should the code have the semi colon in the function call, as in here…?
    <li id="weather">
    <?php WeatherIcon('KRIW','Riverton,Wyoming'); ?>

    or is this correct?
    <li id="weather">
    <?php WeatherIcon('KRIW','Riverton,Wyoming') ?>

    Tried it both ways, and no worky.
    Verified that KRIW is correct, here…
    https://weather.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/nsd_lookup.pl?station=KRIW
    and played with the sidebar code, with and without the LI code.
    I quite confused. Like I said, I had it working with 1.2, but can’t get it going with 1.3.
    Can you provide the optimum CHMOD settings for the dir, plugin files, etc?
    Thanks for your help. It is an awesome plugin, and know what it can do…just don’t know what is broke right now.
    Rich
