Thanks so much for the script.
As per your suggestion, we used this script and are able to successfuly fixed this issue.
Now the cells with numbers are getting populated correctly, but we observed one new issue due to this script: the date fields are also getting converted into Numeric values. As we see the script is for both number and date field conversion.
Could you please provide the script only specific to the nummber field and not the date field?

Can you please format the date column to the date value in Google Sheets and check if that helps?

For this, select the date column, then go to Format -> Number -> Choose Date format.
