WCFM marketplace

Is the premium version of this plugin fully compatible with WCFM marketplace (free version)? After the split of the order in orders for each vendors, can the individual seller, who accesses with his account, manage the status of his orders independently?
I ask it because I did a test using the free version of your plugin, applying the split to a single product (assigned to seller A), if I purchase that product with other products (assigned to seller B) the split takes place correctly: in admin I see new orders and the original trashed. But from the seller accounts I don’t see the new orders generated automatically, as if some reference is missing. I guess the free version doesn’t support sellers, so I asked the question.
If you confirm that, with the premium version, the vendors see new orders, I immediately purchase the license.

@astrobetta WCFM marketplace requirement was noticed a couple of weeks ago and we worked on it. That client confirmed but his WCFM version (don’t know free or premium) was working as expected. I cannot guarantee 100% compatibility as there can be a matrix of features between these two plugins. But i can confirm that vendor based splitting will work and priority based support is available for this plugin. Doesn’t matter either you are using FREE or PREMIUM version.
About appearance of new orders in sellers accounts, i have no idea but i believe that whatever the meta keys were required, we copied/cloned on split action triggered. So kindly look around and check if you find any other plugin 100% compatible with WCFM. As one of our customer, plugin of this user confirmed us that it is working fine with WCFM so we added it and claimed.

Thanks for the quick reply, you have been very kind.
Tomorrow I will evaluate whether to buy your plugin, unfortunately I have not found other plugins and I urgently need to have these orders divided by seller.@astrobetta so nice of you that you understood my reply. We are trying our best to make this plugin perfect and adding new features as users are suggesting. But we cannot recommend it to all because there is a possibility if something worked for a user and will not work for another. I appreciate your acknowledgement.
@astrobetta just found this post and splitting the cart by vendor would be great from european legal requirements if it works in combination with WCFM. Only the error trigger would be changed from currently “only one vendor allowed in the shopping cart” to “only one vendor allowed in checkout page”.
Could you share your decision/experience please, if it worked properly for you?Hi @sebastianfloka , the market I am setting up takes orders for home delivery services directly from the shop, without delivery costs, and only with payment on delivery.
In a nutshell it is a simple notification of the order to the shop or minimarket, then leaving the rest of the management (tax and logistics) directly to him, he only has the option to cancel and confirm it. And this becomes a problem with the only order record with multiple sellers (although in the shop area and the notification were well managed) because in admin, but above all the buyer, did not have the orders divided by seller, in case of cancellation it was not clear which part was no longer supplied (which in this market is covered by the contract, being rural areas where there may be too much distance with the same zipcode and the seller cannot cover the distance).
Limiting the cart to just one seller was the solution, before finding this plugin, but it lost its sense in the user experience.
Returning to your question, the split works well (I had a problem on the shipping record but Fahad explained in another topic of mine how to manage it) but, not needing it, I don’t know how it goes in paying by credit card etc. I think is ok, and the author of this plugin, as you can see from this forum, gives a lot of assistance.Hi Fahad,
Looks a great plugin and maybe just what I need as I’m using wcfm and would appreciate if you could confirm the following:-
1. I want the customer to be able to order a single item (quantity of one) per vendor across multiple vendors. Therefore the cart could contain multiple order lines but limited to one item per vendor.
2. I then want the customer to be able to pay using a single order but on payment it would automatically split that order so each order only contains a single vendor. This would mean each vendor order would contain one item.
3. I wanted to check if the above is possible and if so would the original order be retained or trashed.e.g. Customer orders 6 items one from each vendor, so 6 vendors. The customer pays for all 6 items in a single transaction.
Would the original order be retained and 6 x new unique orders be created or would the 6 x new orders be sub orders of the original order? My preferred option would be to trash the original order and create 6 x new unique orders but not sure how we would manage the notification to the customer.
I also checked out your premium version of the plugin and it indicates that the cost of the premium plugin is $97 but it doesn’t seem to indicate if this is a yearly charge or a one-off and I also cannot find any reference to the terms of the licence.
Regards
SteveBDear SteveB,
Thank you for taking interest in this plugin, WCFM compatibility is getting refined as more as users are trying this plugin and giving their feedback. I will try to answer your queries in the same sequence.
- If your requirement is to split mix of items from one order on WooCommerce checkout and result required is all items should be separated as vendor based split so my answer is YES. If you are expecting any restriction that nobody should be able to order more than one item from a vendor in one order, this kind of condition is not available in this plugin.
- Yes, each order will contain a single vendor and his relevant product items. Again, here, i want you to clear that all items related to the vendor will be grouped in this one order. If you are expecting qty. 1 in each order and another order with qty. 1, so it is a misunderstanding.
- Yes, it is possible either you want to trash the original order or you want to keep. There is a checkbox available for this option.
Advanced version is a lifetime license including all future updates. You can use it on as many as websites you want. But support will be provided to only actual buyer account.
Thanks,
Fahad-

Hi Fahad,
Many thanks for the speedy comprehensive response.
To confirm there is no problem with the plugin not limiting a single item per vendor or limiting to a quantity of (1) as we would achieve this with some custom code.
I’ve installed the free version to test before purchasing the premium version.
I configured for the original order to automatically split and then be trashed.
This seems to work except that the split orders are not being assigned to the relevant vendor and wanted to check if this should be working in the free version and if so could you please provide some guidance on setting it up.ie. I want the original order to be automatically split and assigned to the relevant vendor and I want the original order then trashed.
Regards
SteveBDear SteveB,
Everything is good, vendor based splitting is not included in FREE version so it cannot be checked but post_author field will be updated with the vendor_id and video tutorial is linked against that split method. You can watch that.
Thanks,
FahadHi Fahad,
Many thanks for confirmation.
I have a couple of further questions, if I may, before I purchase:-
1. I’m using WC Bookings with wcfm marketplace and on a customer making a Booking with say Vendor1 and Vendor2 this will currently create 1 x order with a unique order id and also 2 x Booking unique IDs that are linked to the order.
If I configure so that the orders are split by Vendor and the original order is trashed will it create 2 x separate unique Vendor orders with the correct Booking linked to the correct order?2. Based on the configuration detailed in qu1 and the example will the 2 x separate orders when split calculate and display the admin commission that was applied to the original order.
e.g. If the Admin commission is 20% and Vendor1 order was £50 and Vendor2 £100 then the original order would have shown a total cost of £150 and an Admin commission of £30.
When the orders are split would Vendor1 order show a total cost of £50 with Admin commission of £10 and Vendor2 order show a total cost of £100 and Admin commission of £20?Again many thanks for all your support.
Hope the above is doable and I can then purchase the plugin and proceed
Regards
SteveBDear SteveB,
I’ve read your described situation carefully. I would not recommend you this split plugin, the reason is, WooCommerce is a plugin and we were talking about two Add-ons compatibility already.
1) Woo Order Splitter
2) WCFM MarketplaceNow you are talking about “WC Bookings” and commission calculation scenario. It would a complex case to deal with, because all these 3 add-ons will be using the same action hooks on post checkout page(s). So there is a chance that any of these add-on will get priority in action hook trigger. And you know it well, improvement can be required in any of these to make them work together.
I am just the author of one of these, i won’t be able to resolve the expected issue without their involvement or compatibility patches in their scripts. That’s why you should get their developers in loop prior you take this decision to test split plugin with WC Bookings and WCFM at the same time.
Thanks,
Fahad -
