    Hi,

    In testing my site for WCAG Level A compliance, I received a violation regarding your plugin. Get ready to roll your eyes… I sure did.

    Here’s the violation:
    Provide alternative text for images
    Severity: 10

    All images within a page must be given an alternate text equivalent. Text equivalents for non-text elements communicate the meaning of images to users who cannot perceive the image such as users of screen readers. Proper equivalents provide text which contributes the same level of understanding to the content of the page as the image itself. In instances where the image does not contribute to the understanding of the content and is purely decorative, it needs to be marked in a way to indicate its purely decorative purpose.

    Hi there!

    Jorge from WP Rocket here. Thank you for taking the time to contact support.

    LazyLoad can only address the Google PageSpeed recommendation to “defer offscreen images”. To add “alt text” to images in WordPress you could use another plugin.

    You could go to the Plugins area and search from the “Add New” section.

    Should you have any more questions or concerns please let us know and we’ll be more than happy to help you. Thank you for your time and patience. I hope you have a great day.

    Regards,

    Jorge M

    @wp_media Hey Jorge,

    This is the ONLY violation that comes from using your plugin. All of my images have ALT tags. Does this mean you cannot fix your scripts and that I have to find another Lazy Load plugin? ??

    Hi!

    Lazy Load plugin does not remove alt tags from the code.

    Can you share URL of the site and tool you are using to test WCAG?

    Thank you
