Hi, I am trying to make my website WCAG 2.1 compatible. WCAG analytic tool says at multiple pages (where ngg is) is problem with ID’s which are not unique. This is a school website and it needs to be absolutely WCAG 2.1 compatible. I need to sort this out very quickly as there will be some fines for those schools without this. (czech republic). Below you can see details from the WCAG analytic tool.

On this page https://www.sspcb.cz/domov-mladeze/aktuality-dm/ it is the picture under third headind with the red background (Miniples DM (29. 1. 2020 od 18:30))

Success Criteria 4.1.1 Parsing (A) – id attribute is not unique.

    <div id=”ngg-image-0″ class=”ngg-gallery-thumbnail-box “> <div class=”ngg-gallery-thumbn…

REPAIR: Modify the id attribute value so it is unique.

    Hi @tomasiroky,

Checking our records – I am afraid that NextGen doesn’t currently comply with WCAG standards and it is something that we have added as a feature request in the past so I will be happy to add your vote to it.

    Hi @mihaiimagely

I think it is wrong thinking. Hundreds and hundreds of websites in EU MUST comply with WCAG 2.1. https://www.w3.org/blog/2018/09/wcag-2-1-adoption-in-europe/
Some countries started to fine organisations with websites which doesn’t comply.

I think it should be your priority number 1.

When do you think you can do that? If you say just “it is in a plan” I will need to go for different plugin and I believe there will be many more website owners and builders too. If you say: It is our priority and it should be done next week, that’s fine. But If I’d have to wait a month, I will need to move all my customers which needs to comply WCAG 2.1 to different plugin..

    Hi @tomasiroky,

I will be honest with you saying that this wasn’t scheduled for any future dev sprints so we are unsure when/if this feature request may be considered.

This being said I am mostly sure that it won’t be reviewed or implemented in the next months so you may want to switch to a different gallery solution ( at least in the meantime )
