    It is always recommended to update to the latest stable version regardless of which plugin it is. However as a pre-caution, always perform a full site backup prior to updating.

    Thanks for the response royho. We have a very active website and its important that it runs properly. I have been surprised at all the bug fixing.

    You could also create a staging site and perform your updates there so not to interfere with your live. Just be aware of the subscription schedules that may fire twice if you do this. So schedule your testing around after all subscriptions have been renewed for the month..etc.

    Right this is the issue with a staging site. We have thousands of subscriptions so its virtually impossible to do that.
