WC Stripe, Apple Pay, and WC Subscriptions

    Hi,

    I currently use WC Subscriptions with PayPal Pro to process one-off orders and recurring orders (aka subscriptions).

    If I switch to WC Stripe Gateway and activate Apple Pay, can customers use Apple Pay to create (and pay for) recurring orders?

    Some sources say no, others seem to say yes. I installed and activated stripe/gateway/apple pay to test it out, and the Apple Pay button does show when choosing a recurring order on a variable product. However, I don’t know if completing the purchase would successfully set up a recurring order with AP as the payment method, or if it would somehow fail.

  • @aclancy – I’ve taken some time to look into this and found the following issue: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-gateway-stripe/issues/1194

    It seems that while our documentation states that they are not compatible, the code indicates that they are.
    As you can see in that issue, we’re inquiring with our devs to see what is actually intended.
