    Hello,

I notice the Customers page in WooCommerce is reporting that we have 11,646 customers. Yet the WP Users page shows we have 4,674 users in the Customers group.

    How is this possible?

    Hi @inspiredmind,

This is because there’s a slight difference between customers and users. A customer is anyone that has bought something from your store while a user is someone that has opened an account on your site.

Customers can opt to do a guest checkout, that is, purchase something from your site (depending on your store settings) without opening a user account. So, it’s possible to have customers who are not users (didn’t open an account on your site). On the other hand, the users you’re seeing are mostly customers that opted to register an account on your site.

    I hope this clarifies.

    Thanks Abwaita,
I completely overlooked that. Yes, makes perfect sense.
