WC-Ajax=checkout very slow

  • Hello,

    Here’s my problem:
    My site runs really smoothly, but as soon as I am in the shopping cart at the checkout and click on “pay now”, the processing takes up to 20 seconds.
    The wc ajax=checkout.php is called and it takes so long.

    I have already deactivated all plugins, disabled email and tried the Twenty twenty theme.
    Unfortunately without success.

    Can anyone else please help me?

    I see you have 2 payment gateways: bank transfer and PayPal. Is Checkout slow for both gateways?

    thanks for the quick answer.
    Yes the checkout is slow for both gateways.
    It already takes 10-20s until the forwarding of PayPal opens.

    My Server requierements:
    PHP version 7.2
    MySQL version 8.0.15
    WordPress memory limit 512M

    Do you have any other ideas?
