WC 5.9.0 with WooCommerce Stripe Gateway 5.8.0 = No Settings Access

    I was running WC core 5.9.0 with WooCommerce Stripe Gateway 5.8.0 and when selecting the Payments tab under settings the Stripe Gateway was simply not in the list, despite being active and appearing on the checkout page (along with PayPal – from PayPal Standard enabled within WC). Lots of other Stripe options but not the main WooCommerce Stripe Gateway.

    Clicking on WooCommerce Stripe Gateway “settings” from the Installed Plugins list to me to a subtab URL but there was nothing displayed other than a save button. No settings for the WooCommerce Stripe Gateway were shown.

    After trying a few things I rolled my site back to WC Core 5.8.0 and now everything is working/displaying again. Both under the Settings > Payments tab or by used the settings option from the Installed Plugins page.

    It seems that WC core 5.9.0 and WooCommerce Stripe Gateway 5.8.0 do not play nicely together. Some sort of a conflict is occurring.

    Tested on another site and do not get the problem outcome. Below is the status info from the site that does have an issue. Presumably some other plugin is causing a conflict.

    Thanks for sharing this with us. I tested it out on my end but was unable to replicate this behaviour on any of my sites using WooCommerce v5.9.0 and Stripe Payment Gateway v5.8.0, as shown in this screenshot: https://d.pr/i/ZZ7Q3Y

    Thanks for checking and confirming.

    Turned out to be an easier solution than I thought. Using the WC “Tools” on the Status menu I went through and clear a bunch of things and cleared all customer connections. Picked the thing relevant to my site – now I’m working as normal on the latest versions of both plugins.

    I will add this to my troubleshooting steps for next time!
