WC 5.7.1 causes error with Paypal

    Hi,

    Today we’ve had an issue with a client no longer able to accept Paypal standard payments. They were receiving an error saying “We’re sorry, things don’t appear to be working right now. please try again later.” whenever you clicked Proceed to checkout.

    I switched the client to Paypal to accept pay later and then we were receiving error
    “[UNPROCESSABLE_ENTITY] The requested action could not be performed, semantically incorrect, or failed because of business validation.

    Upon checking with Paypal the account was not restricted and they instructed us to check the Woocommerce last update as something is not working.

    I immediately rolled WC back to version 5.7.0 and now it is all working again.
    Any further information about a fix to this issue for future update?

    But I only rolled back the version of WooCommerce itself, not the paypal payments plugin and it fixed the problem. I would assume therefore that means the issue is in WooCommerce version 5.7.1. I rolled it back to version 5.7.0 and the problem is resolved. I didn’t do anything in terms of rollback for the paypal payments plugin.

    Sorry for the delayed response.

    Good to know that you’ve been able to make things work by rolling back to a previous version of WooCommerce. However, if you keep having the same issue with the latest core WooCommerce version, I recommend posting on the PayPal payments plugin forum, as already advised by maykato.
