    Hi,

In 3.5 the email to the client for order processing has changed. Now it sayt “Payment received for your order” and “Thank you for your payment”. This is ridiculous, because in “cash on delivery” order nothing is payed yet!! You are confusing the client with this. Why is this stupid change…. And what the **** is the “Over to you” message in the footer of the email?

    I rolled back to 3.4.7

Why you change something which is working properly? Just don’t…

    Hey there!

Orders that are placed using COD would typically be set to “On-Hold” which is not a payment received status. The “Payment received for your order” string is from the “Processing” email, which is used for orders that are paid for, and then is waiting on fulfillment with the merchant.

It sounds like you have something custom setting COD orders to Processing which is not a correct order flow for how WooCommerce uses the statuses.

Yes, my COD orders goes directly to “Processing” (which means preparing the package in my case) and because there is no status when order is sent to the client via courier i changed it to “Completed” when package is sent.

On-hold status means “Awaiting payment” regarding your documentation. For COD orders it means nothing, because the payment is last. “On-hold” makes sense only for prepaid orders when you wait for payment confirmation. It is not useful for COD order.
