Something to look out for is not just the main theme, but any template overrides that are outdated.
Please read through this Understanding the WooCommerce System Status Report documentation for more details.
With regards to Flatsome and other popular themes, we would hope that third-party developers follow the dev blog and are testing any developer and release candidates.
@atomikkingdom, please be respectful when posting in the forums. I appreciate it isn’t great when your site isn’t functioning as expected so I’m going to link to this response to explain better.
Here’s the thing: WordPress isn’t a commercial company and blaming a free opensource project isn’t appropriate. You are responsible for your site and no one else is.
Substitute WordPress for WooCommerce and the message is still the same.

If you don’t have time or expertise to ensure your site is updated correctly and has no conflicts, I would strongly recommend having an experienced WooCommerce developer on hand to help out. There are many many companies and freelancers out there who do this on a daily basis for businesses.
> Flatsome devs should have tested it properly. I’m not an IT person so do not know what went wrong. Not my job to investigate.
Totally, but they may not be focusing on WooCommerce, and if they don’t declare WooCommerce support in the theme, this isn’t something they “need” to provide support or testing for.
We absolutely appreciate everyone’s patience with this one. If your theme is 100% up to date, talk to the theme author to ensure they are aware of the dev blog, and see if they can look at enhancing WooCommerce compatibility.
The team introduced better theme support in 3.3 as a way for us to help store owners choose a theme they wanted, independent of WooCommerce declared support.

There isn’t a default category when creating a new product in WooCommerce. You can read more in the taxonomy documentation.

> I have VW ecommerce theme, does anybody know when they will update that theme? My shop is sooo badly messed up…
best to speak to the theme author.
