Thanks for creating this very interesting plugin! My question is simple: Bridge with ACR effectively does the same thing as Lightroom, but we prefer its database-less approach. We have one large folder with source files (psd) and another one with output files (png) for WP-Upload. Both have metadata applied, mostly keywords.

Is there maybe a way to use your Plugin to remote control the Media Library from Bridge – or do you hook into Lightrooms database?

    Hi,

My plugin for Lightroom hooks into Photo Engine (on the WP side), that’s how it works ??

Unfortunately, only Lightroom proposed an API with a Publish Services system, there is no way to do this in Bridge.

Thanks, Jordy, for the clarification! Too bad – we just loved to remote control WP from Desktop computers – but in our situation it meant a major workflow-complication to switch from Bridge to Lightroom. This may sound silly as both products are from Adobe… Hence, all file-formats are compatible and also Metadata would read in without Hickups – but I have tried things out and found that we would lose more than we would gain.

I shared quite a bit of feedback on contact.xxxx.fr (about a week ago). Maybe food for thought – using an API wasn’t a strict requiment to create a connection to local assets.

    ??
