Way to specify sizes in percentages?

I’m working on a new site and using WP3.2 and Twentyeleven as a parent theme. 2011 has a lot of nice media query re-sizing built into it, but that requires that things be specified by percentage, not pixel.

Any chance this will be possible in the future? It would be a really nice feature.
