• Hey guys, I’ve done a little googling, and so far have found nothing.

Is there a way to remove the wp- prefix in all the files of WordPress?

I’m looking into using a mass find and delete software, but I’m worried about bugs. I know that the software won’t make mistakes, but I’m pretty sure I will.

Does anyone have a zip of all the wordpress files without the wp-, or does anyone know of any good mac software for this purpose?

    Nobody knows?

    Hi airlias,

I am not sure what you mean, do you mean you want to change wp database prefix with by default wp_? actually it’s easier to change it when you’re installing wordpress, by type in database prefix you want to use, example, wpdb1_

no, I’m talking about the wp- prefix on all of the files.

I’ve been working with multiple softwares to replace wp with ab, as a test, but I’m confused.

What happens, is all aspects on the test site work, EXCEPT for the admin backend.

I can log in to the admin backend, but all of the CSS in the backend is messed up.

    Any ideas?

Don’t do it. Every time there is a WordPress update you are back to fixing everything.

I understand that, but this wp part is really a nuisance to me.

Would there be a problem in calling the CSS that would cause this problem?
