Way to create a custom html widget for footer

    Currently I’m able to assign widgets to Sidebar, header and Magazine Homepage. Is there a way to assign a widget to Footer. I know I can modify php in template files but would rather not do that.

    Thanks for using Tortuga.

    Footer widget areas are available with our Tortuga Pro add-on plugin: https://themezee.com/addons/tortuga-pro/

    The only alternative is to modificate the footer.php template with a child theme and register and display your own widget areas, but I think it is cheaper and less time intensive to purchase the Pro Version of Tortuga.
