  • Why some Gutenberg block collections get 100 000 + downloads and this one only around 1 000 is a mystery – Coblocks and Ultimate Addons for Gutenberg are among the least interesting, for instance. While this one is a gem.

    Herd behaviour, most probably. And better marketing, surely …

    Kioken’s website is not very detailed, nor very clear. There is a Pro version of the plugin but what it does is a matter of guesswork until you buy it.

    (a word to the developper about the pricing strategy : why more expensive on year one ? This is weird, and for a mere $12 difference it does feel greedy. You must have your own reasons, but I’m willing to bet it’s not boosting sales).

    Not a word about the pro version on the website itself. Quite a pity. And some showcase examples are buggy ?? All in all not quite enticing at first sight.

    Yet this is probably the best package currently available for Gutenberg.
    TRY IT. And yes the free version is well worth it : it offers more than any other package available for Gutenberg.

    Pair it with Jeffrey Carandang’s Editorskit plugin for Gutenberg and you will go far.

    Thank you for this very generous and in-depth review + feedback about the pro ??

    I’m certainly aware of the Pro version still not properly promoted and explained yet. The reason is Kioken Blocks is a one man show and I’m only a designer with slower development skills, so anything I add takes a bit longer time than usual ??

    And KB is a hobby turned into a little business, with growth rate much higher than I expected so I’m trying to keep up.

    The plan is having a full scale pro upgrade and feature information on our site with this week, hopefully answering all the questions about upgrading.
