watermark the users name on a photo

Thanks for your query, this will be available in a new version shortly. Note it will only be useful in conjunction with a ‘members’ plugin that restricts access posts and media to registered users that are signed in.

Just thought that I would give support for having this feature. I currently use the Buddypress plugin and have protected some pages and images. I use a verification logo for my members to display on their website so having a feature where it watermarks the username on the logo image would be excellent as I need this feature to stop other people from stealing the verification logo for themselves.

Thanks for the follow up. I did look at this but encountered some technical limitations as to why this was not possible.

The issue is that the images are usually served outside of the WordPress initiation flow, so the plugin loads in as little of the WordPress core as possible to function. In respect of this get current user feature, I have yet to figure out an elegant way to get that to work.

I’m open to suggestions if anyone else wants to give a stab and provide some feedback.
