  • Hi snap-shot,

What kind of PNG format are you using?

    Hi Jori,

it is a standard PNG-24 non interlaced.. Does this help?

    Bye

    That should work OK then.
If you open the image in a new tab, does it show correctly then?
I know for example that when you “copy” a PNG image to another location this can cause problems like black background etc.
Maybe try to remove the current and re-upload the watermark image to be sure it’s the correct one.

    Hi Jory,

thanks for your help, I have tried what you said, but nothing changed..
I also saved again the watermark from Photoshop and applied it to a jpeg image to test it. Manually doing this, it worked as you can see from here: https://www.screencast.com/t/MldEmEY3

    Hi snap-shot,

What do you mean by “Manually doing this”.
Manual with the plugin or with PS?

If you did it with the plugin, please remember that if you change the watermark image, alle watermarks will need to be re-applied.

Re-applied? You mean for the old images it will stay the same. Right? (obvoiusly)

For manual I mean through Photoshop

By re-applied I mean that if you change the watermark images and want your current images to update, you will need to apply the watermark again with the plugin.

    – I advice you to use the backup functionality so you always have the original image available (hidden for the outside world but visible for this plugin)
    – If you don’t have this backup and have set the full (original) image to be watermarked you’ll need to re-upload your images.

About the manual editing. That it will work in Photoshop doesn’t suprise me :). This plugin can use two libraries: GD LIbrary and ImageMagic. Your server will need to support one of these in order for this plugin to work.

I’m not that familiar with how these libraries actually work, this is dFactory territory ^^

    Hi

Have you read this comment by plugin developer:

You have to save changes after the selection or removal of the image.

it means once you changed watermark image then click on save and then upload new watermark image. try it once and let me update here.

    Thanks
    Ahir

    Hi!

Had the same problem, try to change the PHP library to “GD” in the watermark settings menu. Worked for me!

    cheers
