Wasted Time -The 42% Trap – Avoid This Plugin Like the Plague!

This plugin is an absolute nightmare! I experienced a website downtime of half a day using this deceptive plugin. Downloaded the backup (a staggering 665MB), uploaded it, and it got stuck at 42%. Tried again, but no joy. It’s an enormous waste of time – freezes and never reaches completion. Even if you’re “lucky” enough to get it to work, that momentary success is just a fleeting illusion. Attempted to lift the limits in the htaccess file, and the result? Stuck at 42% again, enduring a painful 45 minutes. Despite all my efforts, it failed miserably (by the way, with other solutions, a mere 10 minutes sufficed for backup and restore). Tried with another website, and the only proposed solution was their demand to buy it! Absolutely not! I’d rather invest my money elsewhere in a better and functional solution.

And that’s not all! No warning that you can’t restore backups without shelling out a week’s wages for the pro version or a specific extension. The import function is a roll of the dice – only works if every star aligns perfectly. To add insult to injury, they bombard you with a $99 service just to upload files from the cloud. Coincidentally, you can’t upload it the other way because the direct file upload freezes after just a couple of seconds. Now I’m expected to pay $99 to restore my webpage!? At least they didn’t encrypt my PC, thank goodness, “just” my webpage backup!

Every attempt to upload the backup results in a stalled import before hitting 100%. It’s impossible to upload the backed-up file, making the only way to restore the WordPress website to buy their plugin. Highly deceptive. ONE STAR. Zero if I could give it.
