• The site I tested this on only gained two points in the mobile score and none for the desktop score. I tried turning all of the features on and my score actually went down! This plugin scored the site as a “C” then it went to a “D.” Yes, it’s easy to use and you don’t need to know a lot about technical SEO, but this plugin was ineffective.

    Hi @chicadita,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I’m Alin from Jetpack Boost and I’d like to clarify some points about your feedback to ensure we’re on the same page and others reading this thread have accurate information about our plugin.

Jetpack Boost is designed to focus on improving your site’s speed performance. While a fast-loading site can indeed have a positive indirect effect on SEO, Jetpack Boost is not a dedicated SEO tool, and it doesn’t have direct SEO settings or scoring mechanisms. Its aim is to provide a more satisfying and quick browsing experience for your visitors, which is a valued quality by search engines.

Regarding your site’s score changes, it’s crucial to understand that site performance can be influenced by many factors such as your hosting environment, other plugins, and overall site structure. These factors can sometimes affect the way Jetpack Boost interacts with your website and might be the reason for the score fluctuation you’ve observed.

That being said, the unexpected drop in site score from C to D is concerning. There can be several reasons why this might happen, and we are here to help you figure out and rectify the issue. The performance and score may depend on multiple factors, including the overall site setup, the host, and other plugins that might be in use.

Any extra insights would be really helpful and can allow us to better assist you and others who might experience similar issues.

    Looking forward for yuor reply.

To clarify – the scoring I was referring to was the scoring created by JetPack Boost and no other software was used to identify a score. Your own tool showed my tool-identified-score drop each time I tried to use the tool’s features. Yes, SEO has many, many, many facets to it, but I am specifically talking about what happened when I installed your tool, scanned my site with said tool, applied the settings of the tools, then watched my score go down each time I applied the tool. When no other changes were made to the site, SEO, hosting, server, or anything else within the 15 minutes I spent with the JetPack Boost tool, only the tool can be blamed as the source of those changes and subsequent tool-identified-score drops.

For any other WordPress users out there looking for a site speed plugin tool, I tested several and the one that works the best for me is the 10Web Booster. The JetPack Boost tool performed the worst and showed my site actually slowing down, not speeding up.
