• After the update two days ago, cloudguard stopped working ??
Before that, it was working great. Now all of my sites’ wp admins are unprotected.
It keeps showing a settings page where you are directed to go to network inside clouflare and activate IP Geolocation. But guess what? That is already activated…

    Perfect plugin ruined…Such a shame.

    EDIT:
Thanks to the great support, I was made aware that I forgot that I’d changed a setting in CloudFlare.. After making it orange again… the plugin works great!
Changed my rating back to 5 stars ??

    Hi @tynus,

Sorry to hear the plugin stopped working on your sites. I can’t seem to replicate the same problem on the sites we’re using the plugin on. Would you be able to send me a link to one of your sites which is effected?

I also just double checked the plugin and the settings page should work correctly. It will only ever ask you to change the network settings if Geolocation is not working on Cloudflare. Did you recently make any changes to your Cloudflare settings at all?

Hi @tynus, just checking in to see if you had a chance to check if the plugin is working now. We’ve not had any other reports of the same issue, so I’m pretty sure it is something related to the Cloudflare settings or propagation on the domain.

Let me know if you need any help fixing it ??

Sorry for my late response. Due to busy weeks, I did not have the time to respond to you.

I have updated the plugin on another site of mine and that went fine, on one site of mine I still have this issue.

On the WP admin dashboard, I see the cloudguard section and there I see that login attempts are still being blocked, I also see the “It looks like CloudGuard is working very well on your site!” message. So probably it is still working?

But when I enter the cloudguard settings tab, I still see this message:
Settings currently disabled. You will need to complete the steps below to enable the use of this plugin:

Enable Geolocation for this site in your Cloudflare dashboard.

Like I mentioned before, geolocation is and has always been enabled.

Maybe this helps you to pinpoint what might be the cause of this, perhaps?
    Thanks

    Hi @tynus, no problem!

It sounds like the actual login protection is still working, which is good.

The settings page will show the message you are seeing if Cloudflare has not sent the “CF-IPCountry” header mentioned on this page. The other issue might be that your server is not allowing the header to be set. Unfortunately it’s very difficult for me to say why that might be, since it relates to how your web server and Cloudflare communicate with each other directly.

Are both sites you’ve tested on the same server? Or are they different hosts?

Hi, They are all on the same server. I have 3 sites on cloudflare, all on the same hostingserver. One I have updated to 1.4 this one is working, like I said. Th eother one isn’t, and the 3rd one is not yet updated.

Ok that most like rules out a server issue in that case. Are the plugins similar on both sites? Or are there any other plugins on the site which is not working correctly?

There might be a plugin which is blocking the request header perhaps. Would you be able to send me a link to the site?

Hi Sure, but I don;t see a way to send it in private.
How can I send you my url without posting it here for the world to see?
    Any other contact possibility?

You’re welcome to send it to support[at]pipdig.co.uk. If you’re ok to send login details too then that will mean I can take a look at the settings page in the plugin. However I’ll understand if you’d rather not send that.

Hi, I’ve just now sent you an email, titled: Url with site that has issues – wordpress forum

    Thanks

You mentioned in your support email:
Maybe the DNS settings for the domain have been “gray clouded”? You can check this in the DNS section of cloudflare, the cloud icons should be orange rather than gray

And You were right…it was grey…I must have accidentally changed the wrong one to grey…owowowowo.

    It works fine now ??
Sorry for the inconvenience. My bad.

    Kind regards
p.s.: changed my rating back to 5 stars

No problem, @tynus! I’m very happy to hear it is now working and was a quick fix in the settings.

Thank you for updating the review too. Much appreciated ??
