I recently migrated my site from wordpress.com to www.remarpro.com and am now using Jetpack to email new posts to subscribers. In Jetpack newsletter settings, I have the new post emails set up to display the feature image & excerpt. The feature image displays fine on my site and in email notifications on mobile. But on desktop, the email notification shows a totally warped, stretched version of the feature image. I never had this issue when using wordpress.com, and I’ve tried uploading feature images in many different sizes – including the recommended 1200 x 628 – and nothing works. When I send myself a test email before publishing the post, the image in the test email shows up perfectly fine on desktop – but when I actually publish the post, the email that gets sent to all my subscribers displays a terribly stretched out image. I noticed that when I manually drag the edges of my browser window to make it larger or smaller, the image moves with the window – e.g. it gets stretched out wider when the window is wider, and gets narrower when I make the window smaller (none of the text in the email is affected – only the image.) Can anyone help me? I can’t find any help on this topic, and even the web developer who migrated my site for me couldn’t figure out a fix. Any advice would be much appreciated!

    Hi there, @stephaniegalt,

Thanks for the detailed explanation of the problem. Do you know if other readers of your blog have reported this issue with the feature image in the emails, or have you asked some of them to check this for you?

Also, do you use a specific email inbox or software to check your incoming emails? If the image looks fine in your mobile device, it might be possible that the tool that you’re using in your desktop device is changing the way the feature image is displayed in the email.

It’d be interesting for us to have a direct look at this emails: could you please post your site URL here so that we can have a look? If you want it to remain private, you can also contact us via contact form. If you choose to reach out directly, please include a link to this thread.

Thanks in advance for your reply!
