Warning: stripos()

    I have the latest version of this plugin installed and get the following error on submit:

    Warning: stripos() [function.stripos]: needle is not a string or an integer in /home/site/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-email-capture/inc/security.php on line 17

    Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/site/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-email-capture/inc/security.php:17) in /home/site/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1207

    Is this possibly a php version issue on my server?

    Odd. I’ve never seen such an error before. What’s your site?

    A MASSIVE update is coming soon, and looking at it it could be causing this issue. It will be in about 2 weeks, and a brief look over the code suggest this will be fixed guaranteed then. You can get the update from github already – https://github.com/rhyswynne/wp-email-capture – but it’s in beta.

    Hope that’s a bit of a help!

    Rhys, thanks for the response. I only get the error on my development site, which is staged on an older server running php 5.2x and NOT on the production site which has an identical codebase however that production server is running php 5.5x so I suspect the issue is my environment.

    I will try the beta update and let you know if it changes.

    …I think that is probably the most logical solution. Anyway, the new version does away with a lot of said code.
