• After upgrading to the new version of WordPress (2.2.1), I am having a very confusing issue with my blog. The title of the blogs shows up, as do the lines underneath the blog, however, instead of posting each entry, the following is repeated over and over in place of each entry:

Warning: preg_replace(): Empty regular expression in /home/logical/public_html/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 654

I’m sure that this is probably a very simple problem, but I’m not familiar enough with the scripting part of WordPress to know what I need to do to fix it. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated!!

    Thanks!

  • Verify that php and mysql meet the version requirements of WP 2.2.1, if not you have an issue with your web host.

Turn off any plugs-ins and use the default theme until it’s sorted out.

Hi, I’m having this exact problem, using WPMU 1.2.5, which is (I believe), the same as WP 2.2. Did you ever get it solved?
