• I get 9 error lines at the top of my page for https://www.handbagwhores.com:

Warning: preg_match(): No ending delimiter ‘!’ found in /home/content/j/t/p/jtpratt/html/handbagwhores/wp-includes/classes.php on line 99

Warning: preg_match(): No ending delimiter ‘!’ found in /home/content/j/t/p/jtpratt/html/handbagwhores/wp-includes/classes.php on line 100

They alternate between the two above, the only difference being line 99 or 100. I upgraded to 2.3 today, but I got this error before I did – hoping the upgrade would fix it. Everything was fine last night, and then this morning it started with these errors, which are only on my home page, not on any post, category, archive, or ‘page’ pages at all. I have not installed any new plugins or changed the theme recently before this occured. The server was not upgraded that I know of.

any ideas on this at all?? I read a German WP Support thread that had something similar as a Permalink issue. I updated my permalinks and no luck. Another thread mentioned something about a Photopress plugin conflict, but I disabled Photopress and also no luck – still errors.

Any ideas on other things I can try?

I just upgraded to 2.3 from 2.0 and have the same messages occuring before the post body @ https://www.mirakal.net:

Warning: preg_replace() [function.preg-replace]: Compilation failed: nothing to repeat at offset 0 in /home/mirakal/public_html/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 668

Warning: preg_replace() [function.preg-replace]: Delimiter must not be alphanumeric or backslash in /home/mirakal/public_html/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 668

Warning: preg_replace() [function.preg-replace]: Delimiter must not be alphanumeric or backslash in /home/mirakal/public_html/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 668

Warning: preg_replace() [function.preg-replace]: No ending delimiter ‘:’ found in /home/mirakal/public_html/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 668

The same messages continue to run… does anyone know a way to fix it or tell me what I’m doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

Out of curiosity, if you change to the Default theme and disable all plugins, does this still happen?

Thanks so much! I deactivated all the plugins and switched to the default theme. The error messages are now gone. ??

    Well that’s progress ??

You might check your plugins against the 2.3 compatibility list and see if you need any updates?

I have absolutely no idea what happenned, but my errors went away just minutes ago for absolutely no reason at all. Everything is fine now and I don’t know why.
