    I’m getting the same thing today. WP-Clone worked fine on my site a week ago. Have gotten this message 3 times today.

    Below where the error messages appear, it says “Backup Successful”. But when you go to your backup files, there is no backup file there for today.

    Anyone have any idea?

    I have this error too, I think it started with the 4.3.1 update. The WP Clone files are being created, but they don’t show up in a list where they usually are. I can see them in the folder on the server.

    I am getting a backup, and in looking at it it looks ok but…

    Restore doesn’t work at all, I get an empty response message from the server.

    Downgraded to 1.2.8 and things are working again.

    (@shooter56)

    1.2.8? That far back? The current version is 2.1.9.

    Do you mean 2.1.8?

    I’m sorry, yes, 2.1.8. It’s been a long day.

    The downgrade to 2.1.8 also worked for me. Thanks for the tip.

    Did you downgrade to version 2.1.8 of the plugin, promitech? I was getting the same error that you are and that solved it for me.

    if you don’t mind editing plugin files, try this;
    open up /lib/functions.php and find the below lines

    mysql_close($link);
    	//save file

    remove/comment out the mysql_close($link); line. if you’re using a text editor with line numbers, it’s line 132.

    if you’d rather not mess around with plugin files, please send a message to [email protected] and I’ll send you a test copy.

    I’m having the same problem. How did you guys downgrade?

    I have now installed a plug-in to disable all automatic updates to prevent this from happening again…

    Thanks!
