I don’t know if this will create other problems but what I did to make it work was replace line 307 from standout-css3-buttons.php from:
$output .= do_shortcode(wp_kses(force_balance_tags($content)));

to:
$output .= str_replace("<br />", "", $content);

$output .= str_replace("<br />", "", $content);
