I need to restore my website from a backup but every backup I have says there are warnings even though they all backed up successfully. The warning message is:-

It says cancel and correct the problem.
Could you advise why this happening and what I can do about it please.
    Thanks.

    UPDATE:

Ive been backing up to Dropbox and backups have always been ok up until recently. Ive just changed to Google Drive and tested and backups seem fine when trying to restore. I changed back to Dropbox and get the errors back again when trying to restore.

    @mikes46

Can you please try to download the backup archive sets and extract it on your local computer, check if the zip files are extracted and you don’t get any errors.

Then try to re-upload the zip files to dropbox and continue the restoration process check if the restoration is now completed without any warnings.

    Thanks,
    Harshad

I made a new backup to Dropbox then transferred the zipped files to my PC and tried to Unzip them.
I got 5 errors when unzipping the plugin.zip file
    Error 0x80010135:Path too long
I got 1 error when unzipping the uploads.zip file
Error 0x80070057: The parameter is incorrect

(I’m not sure what to do with the db.gz file)

I also tried the same with Google Drive and got 1 error on the plugin file and 1 error on the uploads file when unzipping onto my PC. The same error codes as above.

I tried restoring both copies within Updraft but the Dropbox copy came up with the errors in my first post.

    Hi,

    Apologies for the late reply.

I tried to Google the error that you are getting and found this
“Usually this error is caused when you use Windows Explorer or WinZip to extract files and it encounters a file path that exceeds the maximum character limit. To resolve this problem, you may use a decompression utility such as 7-Zip, that can handle long file paths”

    Can you try that, please?

    Hi @mikes46,

    Apologies for the late reply.

Did you download a new backup from your storage? Or is it the same backup as before?

Are you also able to share a copy of the backup files here? You can share just one for us to test.

    Regards,
    Bryle

    Hi @bcrodua
My reply above explains I tried a backup from 5 days ago (old) with the error message and a new backup with the error messages.

How do I share a backup with you here?
