Warning Message on Dashboard Pages

I am getting the following warning message displayed at the top of all my Dashboard pages:
Deprecated: strpos(): Non-string needles will be interpreted as strings in the future. Use an explicit chr() call to preserve the current behavior in /home/rongee/public_html/sandbox/wp-content/plugins/ml-slider-pro/vendor/yahnis-elsts/plugin-update-checker/Puc/v4p4/Plugin/UpdateChecker.php on line 641
This started showing up after upgrading to WP 5.1 and my PHP version to 7.3. Looks like something to do with the Pro pack.
Edit: I downgraded my PHP version to 7.2 and the warning went away, so looks like a PHP issue.
